1. Who we are
DiTrack is a brand of Ditel Group S.A.C., RUC 20547437188, domiciled at Mza. G Lote 31, APV La Alborada de Oquendo, Callao, Peru. We are responsible for the data this policy describes, except the location and driving data of our customers' vehicles and their drivers' data: we process those on behalf of each customer (see section 2).
We keep your data in our personal data banks of customers and of sales inquiries.
For any question about your data, or to exercise your rights, write to [email protected].
2. What data we use and why
If you visit ditrack.pe
- Technical data: like any website, your browser sends some technical data, such as your IP address and the type of browser. We use it only so the site works well and stays protected.
- We have no contact forms. If you click a WhatsApp button, the message appears already written with the name of the page you are writing from. That way we know which page brought you to us. You can delete it before sending.
- We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. Details are in section 9.
If you message us on WhatsApp, Facebook or Instagram, call us or email us
- Your number or your email, the name you show on WhatsApp, your messages, the files you send and the call log (who called, when and for how long). This covers our sales line (989 589 654) and our support line (989 589 647), including WhatsApp groups those lines are in.
- If you write to us on Facebook or Instagram, your messages and comments stay on those platforms, and our team reads and answers them.
- We use them to answer your inquiry, send you a quote, give you support and follow up.
- An artificial intelligence assistant answers the first messages on our sales line and gives each conversation an interest level. That level only helps our team know whom to attend first. Quotes, prices and any commercial decision are handled by a person on our team. If the inquiry comes from a company, we may look up public information about it (for example, its RUC at SUNAT) to serve you better.
If you are a customer or user of the DiTrack platform
When we say "your company", we mean whoever hired DiTrack, whether a company or an individual.
- Account data: name, email, phone, DNI or RUC, position, username and password (stored so that no one can read it, not even us).
- Billing data: legal name, address, amounts, payments and receipts.
- Vehicle identification data: plate, make, model, color and the GPS device's data.
- Location and vehicle data: position, speed, heading, ignition, sensors, events (panic button, engine cut, door opening, geofence entries and exits) and their history.
- Driving data, only if your company turns that feature on: harsh braking and acceleration, driving hours and a score per vehicle.
- Driver data your company registers: name, DNI, phone and email.
- Artificial intelligence in support: our team uses an artificial intelligence assistant to look up information and solve support cases. To do so it may read account, vehicle, location and driver data. We also use artificial intelligence to read the photos of the service orders our technicians fill in.
- We use them to provide the service (show your vehicles on the map, send you alerts by email and WhatsApp, generate reports, give you technical support, and install and maintain the devices), to invoice you and to meet our legal obligations.
If you drive a vehicle with a DiTrack GPS
The company that hired the GPS decides what it uses it for. It is responsible for that data and for informing you. DiTrack processes it on that company's behalf and only to provide its service. If you have a question or a request, you can take it to that company or write to [email protected]: we pass it on and help you.
3. Why we may process your data
- Because we need it to answer your inquiry, quote you or provide the service you hired (Law 29733, art. 14, item 5).
- Because the law requires it, for example to comply with SUNAT.
4. Do you have to give us your data?
No, it is voluntary. But some of it is essential: without it we cannot answer your inquiry, quote you, provide the service or issue receipts. If you give it to us, we use it only for what section 2 explains.
5. Who we share your data with
We do not sell your data. We share it only in these cases:
- Authorities your company asks us to send its vehicles' information to, such as SUTRAN, OSINERGMIN, OSITRAN or the Ministry of the Interior: the vehicle's plate, location, speed, heading and events.
- Platforms your company authorizes, such as logistics or security systems, other tracking companies or your company's customers: the location and vehicle data your company specifies.
- SUNAT, for invoicing and our tax obligations.
- Other authorities, when a law or a court order requires us to hand it over.
- Providers that help us deliver the service and process the data on our behalf:
| Provider | Purpose | Country |
|---|---|---|
| DigitalOcean | servers and databases where the information is stored | United States |
| Cloudflare | website security and page loading | United States |
| Anthropic | artificial intelligence (sales and support) | United States |
| Brevo | sending emails (alerts, receipts, codes) | France (European Union) |
| Google Workspace | United States | |
| AppSignal | technical monitoring of the platform | Netherlands (European Union) |
We also use third-party services such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, maps from Mapbox, Stadia Maps and Google Maps, and some networks that load the site's files. Each applies its own privacy policy.
6. Transfers of your data outside Peru
Yes, your data leaves Peru. Our servers are in the United States, and some providers are there or in the European Union (see section 5). We send it to those countries because those servers and providers are needed to serve you and provide the service.
7. Automated decisions and profiling
- Conversation interest level: the artificial intelligence assistant gives an interest level to each conversation on our WhatsApp sales line. It decides nothing on its own. It only changes the order in which our team attends you.
- Driving score: if your company turns it on, the platform calculates a score per vehicle from driving events. If the same person always drives a vehicle, that score reflects how that person drives. Your company decides how to use it. DiTrack makes no decisions about drivers.
You have the right not to have a decision with legal effects on you, or that significantly affects you, made only by an automated system (Law 29733, art. 23).
8. How long we keep your data
| Data | Period |
|---|---|
| WhatsApp conversations, calls and inquiry emails | 2 years from your last message |
| Account data, contracts, receipts and payments | While the service lasts. Afterwards, we keep only what appears on contracts, receipts and payments, for as long as tax law requires us to keep our own records: until December 31 of the sixth year after your last receipt. If there is an ongoing tax audit or claim, we keep them longer. |
| Location and vehicle history, and driver data | While your company has the service. If a device is deactivated, we delete its location history after 6 months, or within the period your company asks for in writing, never more than 2 years. When the service ends, your company has 6 months to download its data, and then we delete it. We keep it longer only if your company authorizes it in writing, and never more than 2 years after the service ends. |
| Geofence entries and exits | 1 year (your company can set a different period) |
| Report files you generate in the platform | 7 days |
| Cookies | see section 9 |
You can ask us to delete your data sooner, except what the law requires us to keep. If it is GPS history or driver data, we pass your request to the company that hired the service, because it is the one that decides.
10. Your rights
At any time and free of charge, you can:
- know what data of yours we hold and how we use it (information and access);
- correct or update it (rectification);
- ask us to delete it (cancellation or erasure);
- object to our using it, if you have a legitimate reason tied to your personal situation (objection);
- ask for a copy in a format you can take to another provider (portability);
- withdraw your consent, where you gave it.
How: write to [email protected] with your name, a copy of your DNI or another identity document (so we can verify it is you) and what you are asking for. We answer within 8 business days if you ask how we use your data, 20 if you ask to see your data or get a copy of it, and 10 in all other cases. Deadlines run from the day after your request. If we need more information to handle it, we will ask you, and the deadline pauses until you reply.
If we do not answer or you disagree with our answer, you can file a complaint with Peru's National Personal Data Protection Authority, part of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights.
11. How to ask us to delete your data
- Write to [email protected] with the subject "Eliminar mis datos" (delete my data).
- Include your name, your WhatsApp number or your email, and attach a copy of your DNI or another identity document.
- We confirm by email once we have deleted it, within 10 business days. If the law requires us to keep some data, we will tell you which data and until when.
This includes data you gave us through Facebook, Instagram or WhatsApp.
12. How we protect your data
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS). We store passwords so that no one can read them. Each user sees only their company's vehicles. And inside DiTrack, only authorized staff can access the information.
13. Minors
Our services are for companies and adults. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
14. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page with its update date.
